I'll check it out - at the moment I can export a poser 3 model as an .obj
and translate that to a working mesh using pos2pov. What I haven't been able
to do is export any uv mapping. UVMapper (?) does allow me to output and
load an appropriate map into psp for hand colouring (from the .obj file),
but this would seem a bit fiddly, but worth doing if no alternative existed.
Pos2pov wants a material file which doesn't seem to be an output option in
poser 3. Still, early days yet. I'll check out 3dwin this evening. Thanks
for the tip.
At the moment, using two models with the appropriate no_reflection, no_image
settings, I'm modelling a Magritte
(http://www.nicolarandone.com/arte/magritte7.jpg) - I can't remember what
this image is called, can anyone enlighten me?
BTW Quite a few Magritte's would be fun to model - anyone interested could
check out

Poser normally comes with texture maps. In Poser 4, they are stored in the
runtime/textures directory. Of course, they may have been left out of a free
version. I can send them to you if you want.

It's called La reproduction interdite (Reproduction prohibited), 1937.

LOL - given the Magritte estate's attitude to reproductions and unauthorised
images, this seems very appropriate. Oh, well. I'd better call it "This is
not a Magritte".

Once again...
I've uploaded this to www.tomandlu.co.uk/poser3
(my last post on this was a misunderstanding between myself and outlook as
to the meaing of "send later")
I'm not sure what the legal status of this copy of poser is - needless to
say I assume that it is not licenced for professional use.

BTW install with setup.exe not autorpz.exe (the latter is listed in
autorun.inf). Also, set "use folder names" when unzipping the download.

The issue I found on the newshelf was from 8/9... I'm assuming the one that
has this in it is the copy that has the ant-like image on the cover that
they have posted on their website??? www.3dworldmag.com
????

I sympathise (33k at home) - if you're very keen of having it and no access
to the mag, drop me a line and I'll cut a cd copy.
