Hello,

Well, is there? Is there going to be? Is there a defacto standard? How
widely adopted is Chris Colefax's and Warp's compressed mesh format?

Thanks for your thoughts,

Glenn

  I'm not completely sure if I understand your question.

  Isn't the default mesh syntax of povray as 'standard' as you want?
  It's usage is quite simple. The file can be a regular povray mesh:

mesh
{ triangle { ... }
  triangle { ... }
  ...
}

and then you just #include the file.

  Povray 3.5 will have the mesh2 format (which is more compact) as well.

  I hope that very widely :)
