Hi all,
With a few networked and idle comps here, i was thinking about giving PvmPov a try,
under Win98...
I just downloaded the few Pvm files (pvm 3.4.3 and beta6), but i really don't know
what to do with them ?!
All I understand is that i need a compiler, C or Fortran...
Well.. Is there an easiest way to get a full-running version of PvmPov, or shall I
buy (get..) a C compiler ?..
And then, how can Pvm and Pov been combine and compile ?..
So, if some PvmPov Gurus hear me, plz... :))
Ps : I'm not as easy as it looks in english.. French explanations are welcome too....
:)
Thanks for reading this..

AFAIK pvmpov is a Unix program, so you are out of luck.

It _might_ be possible to compile it for Win98 using cygwin, but I don't
know if it's possible and you'd probably need to know C and POV fairly
well.
PoD.

I tried to do that. the *NIX sources compile with Cygwin on NT and one can run the
standalone program (slower as compiled with VC++), but the PVM libraries are not
available
for Cygwin. If someone would solve that problem that might help.
I also tried to compile the patched POV sources with VC++, but no succes there either.
If
someone wants/needs more info, email me.
