For the old POV-Ray Logo Competition a lot of logos were submitted. But so
far there have only been presubmitted 2 logos for the real POV-Ray Logo
Contest.
Those can be seen here:
http://rsj.mobilixnet.dk/logo/submitted/submitted.html
What I would like to know is this:
Do anybody intent to submit anymore logos? Is anybody out there working on a
logo, or maybe waiting 'till later with submitting one?
If not, then I see no reason not to proceed to the next stage in the
contest.
So if you intent to submit a logo at some point, PLEASE tell me now!

I will also advise you to read this nice article:
http://www.turtlesweb.com/articles/logo.html
It is a good idea to post your logo in povray.binaries.images to get
feedback.
When you have made a logo, you send it to me in the formats specified in the
rules.
I look forward to seeing you logo!
If you for some reason decide not to make a logo after all, please notify
me.

i didn't see a spot on your website to actually submit or presubmit
logos. i checked the rules and everything. so i'm going to post some
examples in p.b.i.

(One of "The big 3" television networks in the states)
If you use it, you will feel like a new man when their lawyers finish with you.

I went to www.cbs.com and saw their logo. Yes, they look a little alike, but
not that much. If POV logo nr. 1 look too much like it, then any simple
eye-like symbol would look too much like it. I don't think it will be a
problem, but thank you anyway for bringing it to our attention.

Me? I'm not the one who is going to use it! I'm just taking care of the

I don't agree. It looks very different. The CBS logo is closed, for one
thing, and the circle touches the edges of the logo. It's also a lot pointer
than mine. If they sue, they're crazy.

You and i may think it is very different. Most reasonable people think
that the Go Network logo didn't really look like that other logo.
A judge thought it did. So basically anything resembling a green circle
in a yellow box belongs to (that other company, which is not owned by Disney)
It's just the b&w one i object to. I think the overall concept is brilliant
and i like the other renderings.
