No. It wasn't the idea, and doing so makes it mandatory to keep the
product of all the radii ratios for each axis equal to one. And there
are other issues with animation periodicity if the anim is intended to
loop. IMHO all of these problems can be solved and this package can be a
good starting point: at least the gears are at the right place!

Source code is GPL'ed (although I should make it clearer in the code
itself).
E-mail me if you want some ideas about how to animate it and the issues
this raises.
