The name tags don't quite line up with the pictures they go with. Trivial
but could be better...

| When waiting for yet another long render to finish of course.

Not me, I stare at the % or Rendering line: or PPS counts and if they aren't changing
I
watch the blank space just below the last line in the render display in anticipation
of
the next update. If that doesn't keep me spellbound enough I go online and surf the
'net. When I do leave the computer for it to ray trace alone the best way to do so is
leap out of the chair and make it to the door and out of the room fast as I can or
I'll
think of something else and risk stopping the render. Half joking... I'm not always
very fast.

Thanks, but you shouldn't have snipped the link as people will think
you're writing about Warp.

Here it is again: http://www.rmi-people.com/photo3.htm

I wasn't waiting for POV-Ray to render anything, I fell asleep to the
sound of "... Welcome to Cisco's technical assistance center ... your
call is important to us ... Please remain on the line to retain your
calling priority ... "

By the way, If you look carefully, you'll see that my OS/2 wallpaper is
from the POV-Ray Hall of Fame...

I was afraid that might happen if someone is using a different default font
size than mine - I'll try a different approach. Thanks for the info.

I would gladly consider adding more features to the Photo Album, if there's
enough interest. I can think of a couple things that could easily be
implemented without making things much more complicated:

1.) The <img alt="..."> text ("hover text"?) could be used to list people's
locations, or some other brief info. Currently I'm using the alt text to
list people's names, which is usually redundant except in the case where the
nickname is listed below the picture and the alt text has the real name (for
example, Warp/Juha Nieminen).

2.) The picture and/or name text could double as a link to that person's
website, where he can put all the info he wants.

Personally, since I've been putting this together, I've really enjoyed
finding out where y'all are from, and I think location information would be
a nice addition. In fact, I think I'll go ahead and add that. Yep, that's
what I'm gonna do.

Comments/suggestions/objections? Especially regarding brief biographical
info. - I think Rune has a good idea here...

BTW, Bob Hughes has a really cool mapping page at
http://users.aol.com/inversez/homepage.htm, and it already shows where all
the action is around the world, no need to duplicate Bob's work.

Regards,
Dave

Ooops! The tags are all still the same size but the names have dissapeared
completely.

As Homer would say, "Doooh!" What browser are you using? Does the screen
look anything at all like http://home.earthlink.net/~grasshoppah/HiKen.jpg?
If not, can you describe what's wrong?

Thanks,
Dave

As I see this (Netscape 4.72 for Linux), the names are black on a dark
brown (kinda wood-textured) background. Nigh on invisible. In Mozilla
M15 for Linux, it looks much more like the screenshot you made for Ken.

The lettering now looks similar.

I'll send you a Netscape screen shot via email.
