I have found a sPatch mirror site in Japan but good luck reading the
contents of the web page -

I put up a temporary Home for sPatch.zip. I'll leave it up for a while
so that anyone who wants to grab it can.

Oops, I forgot that slight problem I had getting it to work (or rather, I
subconsciously didn't want to remember it :)
The .lzh isn't actually corrupt, it's just that Winzip can't read it at
all, and the DOS version of LHA doesn't like long file names.
I'll post the .zip version of the archive to p.b.u (hell, it's only 150k
or so)
Bye for now,
Jamie.

I just downloaded Hammapatch and it looks like I'll be working with
this instead of sPatch. Is there a helpfile someplace? I can figure
out most of it having worked with sPatch before but I was trying to
find a control for the test shading, and couldn't find it...if there
is one.

I haven't seen a help file. And I don't know about what you mean about a
control for test shading, but I do know if you have POV somewhere else than
the default directory, you'll have to edit the obvious statement in the
hama.ini file. If you are asking whether hamapatch has an opengl preview
like spatch, then I'm pretty sure the answer is no. Just have to settle for
the quick test renders in POV or BMRT.

I wasn't following this entire thread, and looked back to find a post that
includes the link to Hammapatch - couldn't find it - can you please post it
again.
I'm interested since you say that you'll be using it instead of sPatch

You will find a .zip copy recently posted in povray.binaries.utilities.
There seems to be problems with the .lzh copy at the download site.
The home page for hamapatch is at:
