Heh well I'll be the first one to make a Y2K post here ... HAPPY 2000
ONE AND ALL!

I just saw the most STUPENDOUS fireworks I've EVER seen ; we had a 360
degree view from the roof of this building and they were happening all
around us. If you see any footage from Melbourne, Australia, that's what
I was in the middle of ;)

Chris:

Happy 2000 to you as well. Your post is living proof that the
Internet has survived the transition into the new year, at
least in Australia! <grin>

Didn't see anything from Melbourne, but I did see some of NBC's
footage fron Sydney, and that was pretty impressive itself.

Have a safe and happy New Year, and keep up the good work.
Onward and upward!

I saw some of the Aussie fireworks on the tele, and they looked damn cool.
The new millenium (ha!) is still 15 hours away for me. Seems a bit
anticlimactic really.

Thanks Chris.

Hey, your date reads 31-12-99 and time 14:33, so according to my view you
are still not living in 2000! But look at my date...!
(When does the year 2000 REALLY start??)

Some newsreaders (perhaps even most) adjust posting dates such that the time is
displayed using your own timezone.

Great to hear things went smoothly down there too! :)

I spent the rollover to Y2K swimming in the ocean in the pitch black
watching fireworks under a starry sky :)

Happy New Year everyone!

Keep up the good work Mr Cason!

I've been watching CNN's coverage of the New Year's celibrations around
the world. they didn't cover Melbourne, but if what went on in Sydne is
any indication, you are having one whale of a goot time.

Happy New Year to you all!
