I imagine many people in this group will be interested.

Why? Because they mention POV-Ray 3 times?

That's one possibility. Hey, can you think of any other periodicals
dedicated to ray tracing? Since it comes out only twice a year or so,
it's all the more worthy of mention when it does. I'm sure Ken will want
to scour it for useful links.

Both he and I have known about this for a while now (he longer than I). He's
posted links to articles in RTN previously. Didn't you notice? Anyway,
thanks for thinking of the group in posting the link. I appreciate it and
I'm sure the others do too.

No, because almost anything Eric finds interesting turns out
to be damn interesting. He has contributed in so many ways
to so many different aspects of computer graphics that a
survey of his work would likely fill a thick volume. He
is one of a handful of people that everybody in computer
graphics knows and everybody in computer graphics likes.

You make it sound like I attacked him or something. Please don't get me
wrong. I just asked why one would be interested in a collection of articles
that only graze the subject of our attention. I thought it would have some
big article on POV. That's all. Sorry if I sounded angry or rude. I have
nothing against Eric. He seems to be a nice guy.

PS: Remember also that I will abstain from using smileys for at least a
week, no matter how necessary, to mourn the tragedy.

Oops, hadn't noticed. And I know Ken reads cgrr, since I see him post
there. Oh, well. Hopefully someone found my post useful...

I am glad you pointed it out. My ISP's news server somehow managed to lose
Eric's post and it never appeared.
