Hello fellow Povers.
I was planning to check that everything was okay before making the
announce but somehow Lance Birch was there before me, lol. I don't know
how he managed this because I was informed of the update only 1 hour ago
! Thanks for the enthousiasm, Lance.
So I just put the 1999 update of the Book of Beginnings on line. New
design and new stuff :
- 20 or so new pictures
- 1 new gallery
- picture index
- small "sources" page with the Tree macro (1.0b version with a bug
fix), a Grass macro, a Windows macro and some other little thingies. I
wish I had made more sources available but turning French spaghetti into
readable code takes too much time.
- a "fractals" page made with Tierazon (one week I was taking a break
from Povray).

The address :
http://www.mediaport.net/Artichaud/Tran/gtran.en.html

I'm done for now. Next update in 2000.
Thanks to all for the support, appreciation and inspiration.

Gilles Tran

Whee, I knew(!) it could be made with POV. and it's probably faster than the M$
version as well, isn't it? *grinning*

My congratulations! A great site with great art!

Care to post the Z-animation(s) somewhere? ;-)

Johannes.

I just made a check of my "complete" list (not all are at my linker web
pages) of URLs and didn't see yours. Thought surely I had it from long
ago. Has the URL changed? Ha, I just thought, I bet its locked away as a
bookmark somewhere...

Congratulations

This is the best site I have ever seen with some of the finest images and
ideas I have ever seen both Pov and not pov.

Well done as ever you are an inspiration to all of us.

We often spend so much time dealing with the technicalities we forget why we
started in the first place

Mick

I visited your site yesterday, downloaded some utils, but didn't
read any of the narative, the font was difficult to read, it's a
good size but noth thick enough for me (I'm partially sighted),
the links seemed bright and werent a problem, but the body text
seemed to blend in with the background too much.

Cheers
Steve
