I have never had a problem reading your posts - I don't think
anyway. Is that you typing in three periods after every sentence
or is the program adding that for you ?

No, the dots are just me and my lazy typing style. Intended to mark my sighing,
dreaming,
depressed way of expressing myself. I'll try and stop it, since I know it's a pretty
bad
habit that disturbs the reading pattern. But...*sigh*

Hi!
I have the same problem with Outlook Express, though I didn't make the
connection to Spider's posts - I just thought it was an Outlook bug. Now
that I kept my eyes open I indeed noticed that the change to the other font
happens with Spider's posts (but not all of them, for example his answers in
this thread had no effect).
Anyway, a simple way to switch back to the normal font is to select some
other newsgroup on news.povray.org in the newsgroup list at the left, then
come back to the group you were reading. The next post you open has the
standard font again (well, at least that works for me...).
Greetings,
Johannes.

Outlook Express users,
While messing with Spiders postings, I found a way to automatically convert
messages from user-defined to western-alphabet.
Doubleclick one of Spiders older messages, you wil get a separate window
with the message. Select image > language. There should be a dot before
user-defined. Select Western-alphabet. Outlook now asks if you want to do
this for all user-defined character-sets.
I hope I rememberd what I did the right way. I was clicking around a bit
when I found this.
hope it helps,
ingo

Your charset is okay now. I didn't check anything else, and I don't
use SLRN on this machine, but I'll be sure to let you know if I have
any problems.
