This may seem like a strange question, but..

Is there any way to stop my computer from beeping after rendering an
image?

The beep is the "asterisk" sound in win95.  I don't kow of anyway to
disable it, but you can designate a sound for it.  I have a character
from South Park telling me "Dude!  That kicks ass!!"  Okay, generally it
doesn't actually but it builds up my self esteem - gotta take it where I
can get it. =)

  I thought you could use the -p option (on command-line environments), but
it still beeps (well, mine does). So I cannot see any other solution than
having a look in the source. I had a quick glance and did not find, but I
will report as soon as I do.

DOS or Windows ? Under Windows, it's dead easy (Render|On Completion).

Sorry, I guess I should have specified -- I meant DOS (I already knew
how in Windows).
