True. That's where I got my side of the argument. It's unclear as to where
you put everything.

Oh well, the POV team is giving all this space to us lowly users for FREE.
We can do with a little inconvienience! :) We'll just have to decide
amongst ourselves as to where we want them.

But you see that is why I cleverly dragged Alan Kong into this conversation.
As a member of the POV-Team he has given us his guidance on the issue. In
short form he said that if it is a povray scene file, be it a .pov, .inc,
or a pov .ini file it should be posted in one of the scene file groups. If
you have a different form of utility for example: .com, .exe, .dll, java
script, or any other number of standard binary file types of a utilitarian
nature then this is the place to post them. One exception to this would
be the posting of announcements of new programs and utilities with an
appropriate URL pointing to it's location. Anything else is just arguing
semantics and not worth the time it takes discussing them.

True. . .

However, wouldn't you think that anything bigger then a BASIC program should
be linked anyway? I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want to
download a ~500K file from a newsgroup. :)

I wouldn't blink an eye downloading a 500k file from a povray news group.
I would seriously balk at downloading a 5000k file however.

Oh, how cute... A little 5mb file... I'm quite used to downloading 50mb...
Why, just yesterday I finished getting a 575mb file... believe it, or not.

What's your objection to a 30 minute download? :-)
