Earlier today I fished in the depth of my harddisk and found a small tool I
wrote two years ago for simple conversion of HPGL-Files into POV prism/lathe
definitions.

I only converted it to Delphi today (it originally was written in Speed Pascal
for OS/2). There are many things to add, right now, it only reads all PU/PD
statements in the HPGL-File into one spline.

I did a sample scene you can see in p.b.i.

Please tell me if you find it useful for any practical things, so it is worth
further development work.

Christoph

PS.: The program is Win32 Textmode, if my old Borland Pascal for DOS is still
running, I will try to make a Dos-Version sometime :-)

Can you explain to me what a HPGL-file is?

HPGL is a very common plotter language, that contains pen movement/pen selection
information.

Important advantage is, that nearly every vector graphics program supports
HPGL-export.
