Thanks, mostly the realism is down to the HDR lighting, if I render it
with standard lights it looks very fake.

Thanks, this was my third attempt though, the first two were not so good
(did I say third I meant 10,000th)

I suppose a sunflower leaf will be extremely difficult with those jagged
edges. I remember how I struggled with that on my sunflower scene.

well i can't wait to see the end result ... the specular/roughness on
the leaves is perfect. is that some kind of sky-dome (hdr) is see in the
reflection?

Interesting work!
I will try to create a dandelion in the Blender.

You suppose correctly, thought I would give it a go and the result is not good,
suffers the same problem as my dandelion leaf, the more I try to add the stepped
edges the larger the crease effect becomes on my mesh. I give up trying to do
this one and will look for nice smooth edged leaves for future experiments ;-)

Even the texture of a sunflower lef is more difficult to get right.

Yes, HDR lighting with a free probe Portsmouth_Probe (cannot remember where I
got it from but I am sure most decent outdoor probes would work well).

I look forward to seeing it, your blender experiments have been great to see.
