On both, for better realism, the solar panels should not be exactly at
180° (or straight) of each other. something between 179.9° or 180.1° at
each junction.

Truly interesting (to me as a space flight fan), the first time I see 
the new US "shuttle" in action... did you have accurate measures or did 
you just model by guessing?

And what part of Earth is the terrain below? It looks like some badlands 
in a temperate to subtropic arid region... (but probably not 
Afghanistan, I possibly would have recognized it)

Do a Google image search and you'll see the image it's based on. And it looks
like I missed a particular feature. Oops.

Actually, I think the original one is a little worse. What I didn't realize at
the time was that the scene was rendering with the wrong gamma settings. Also,
there's too much RGB noise.

For the new Povray version I added a few objects, took out the RGB jitter noise,
and rendered at the appropriate gamma. Now it looks much better.
