If you're better at coloring and texturing than I, and you probably are, have at
it.
Ready-made prisms: (butterfly)

Its really a bore to me if I pick up a file and it doesnt render.
I tried to clean up, and blew away a brace ..

fix it or get a fixed zip.
uploading again, yawn

#declare butterfly_skeleton =
 difference {
  object { butterflypath6_ }
  object { butterflypath8_ }
  texture {
    buttex
  }
  rotate -x*90
}

actually butterflypath8_ should stand out as a texture of its own

I second that.

Hey Chris!

Maybe you have an Idea...

I just noticed path8_ is a bunch of closed loops but pov sees it as an open
spline, "ignoring it".

Texture doesnt seem to apply, any tricks on this?

in order to texture path8, it had to be union of 112 prisms

Add my "Beautiful" to the list. I wouldn't consider myself "better", but since
you've been king enough to share, I might just have a go at trying to do
something with it.

Best Regards,
Mike C.

As previously indicated, not better, but different.

I rather liked this one despite the two following problems:

1. It was a rather obvious direction to go in.

2. "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" is going to play inside my head for the rest of the day.

Thanks again to aQ who did all the real work and was kind enough to share it.

Best Regards,
Mike C.

P.S. It might be fun if other folks took him up on his offer. This could go in
a lot of different creative directions.
