Moin,
Hard work so far, most of the pieces are CSG, only a few isosurfaces are used...
I think now it's possible to guess, that it will be a (F1-)car.

I'll bet that's hard work! Surprisingly accurate though. I assume you're aware
of programs (ldraw.org) which simplify the process quite a bit. If nothing else
they have just about every piece you can imagine already meshed. Keep it up
though. Don't listen to me. I'm just an enabler...

LDraw meshes are *really* low detail.
Although LDraw is definitely useful when building the model.
Particularly with a good graphical editor like MLCad. You can then use
L3P (a newer version of L2P, which is LDraw-to-POV-Ray) along with the
detailed models from LGEO.
However, so far MSAB's models seem competitive with the LGEO library :)
Maybe somebody should write a L4P using MSAB's models :D

Of course, one could always use the wonderfully detailed CSG Lego libraries by
Anton Raves. I did some tinkering with them, a while back, modifying them to
use macros and loops so the descriptions weren't so big.
http://www.antonraves.nl
He even has a converter for LDraw files there.

Yeah those too :) I had forgotten about that website.
I just remembered LGEO: http://www.el-lutzo.de/lego/lgeo.html

Fantastic... I'm swamped by waves of childhood memories! When I was 11,
back in 1980, I owned the LL 928 "Galaxy Cruiser" (as well as the
smaller LL 918 and the "Space Shuttle"), while my younger brother had
the LL 924 and the stationary rocket base (don't remember the article
number), while I again had the mobile rocket launcher... and this rocket
launcher was also part of a juvenile science-fiction concept which I
worked out back then - and revived many years later, on my private
website, I made some notes about it: http://www.khyberspace.de/space.html
See you in Khyberspace!

Looks great! Where are you using isosurfaces?

Thanks ;)

For example for the helix at the spring of the suspension...
Accidentally in the images at the top the one spring is right-handed and the
other is left-handed...I have to correct that

Wouldn't it be easier to use real Lego, MSAB? ;-)

If all you want to do is build the sets you DO have. And feel a little strange
regressing about ten nears in age...
