Hello,

This is just a quick test with the very interesting maya fur macro. (2h on
pentium 4 2.4Ghz 256Mo)

You can see holes in the cat's fur, nonetheless it shows how promising the
macro is. Thanks Doug !


I don't know whether it is possible or not but if gravity could affect the
hair shape it would be even more interesting :-)

Gravity might be a possible addition, I will look into it.  When you get
bald areas in the image you wanna try turning up the hairs_per_unit
variable.  Sometimes it also helps to include a textured version of the mesh
underneath the fur, to cover bald areas.
