In keeping with the metallic theme, I decided on a textured iron roof.

I also reordered the placement of the buildings, placing them from the
center outward, in order to keep them consistent when I change the size
of the city.  This plan for future consistency was unavoidably
inconsistent with the previous city plan, so the buildings in this
render are different from the in OP.

I also finalized the window texture, rounded the buildings' edges to
bring out the metallic highlights, and broke up the low-rise buildings
into multiple buildings per city block.  I still want to tweak the scene
more.

Definitely looking more refined, very nice!
