Instead of rendering pretty young girls I've tried the opposite, a self
portrait - but with some artistic freedom:
I've never been in Birmingham.
Never had or wore a Sabbath-shirt. In fact I don't listen to Black
Sabbath (and bands like that) since the age of 15.
My hair isn't *that* dense anymore.

Out of words, looking perfect! :)
On a personal side note: I've been a rocker myself ever since my early childhood
and up to this day. At this point (I'm 36 at the time of writing this and
preparing material for my new solo album) I'd say that this path will last all
the way to the grave and beyond, hehe! :D

That is a pretty good render, and no mistake. The skin texture is
perfect (you must have a *very* detailed image_map!) although the
eyebrows are almost a give away.

No image maps used in this render (except for the shirt), while all
details in the skin are modeled. There are only specular maps to define
the glossy reflectivity of the various skin parts.
Hair and eyebrows is "real" hair as produced by my fur-generating method.

Stunning image. How did you get the 'luminous bloom' off the sun glasses?

Your skin is more than life-like! And at such close range too! I am
deeply impressed indeed!
I had the impression that the eyebrows were part of the skin map. I am
obviously wrong.

This scene uses Mie-Murky type media. Its strong forward scattering
together with realistic high light intensities can produce a luminous
bloom effect*. It is also responsible for the slightly changing color
tint as seen in the background and - together with focal blur - helps to
hide the cheap modeling there.
*but was - in this case - not enough for my taste so I intensified it a
bit by post-processing.
