You don't have to code to offer material support, even small donations will
help in getting the tools needed to advance The Great Effort:
https://www.gofundme.com/uberpov
There is a tool which will be key in achieving progress in the overall
Refactor and implementation of new advanced features, called CppDepend,
which is a code and dependency analysis tool with comprehensive code query
language which will greatly ease the analysis of a codebase as complex as
that of Povray.
I am supplying Christoph a license to Visual Assist X in the next couple
weeks, he trial of which is already being used to good effect. If everyone
contributed even a small amount the progress that could be made would
surprise people.
Furthermore there are Epics which will require very large development
effort, some of these are much requested and others are prerequisites to
such things, and helping to fund those will be appreciated. Right now the
biggest thing is CppDepend though because it is a large one time
expenditure.
Spreading the word to your fellow Pov users and/or chipping in a little
funding is very helpful and important to the overall goal, even if not
everyone can contribute financially they can spread the word to those who
may be able to. :)
Right now it is just me on the finance side but I hope to expand
participation to a larger base, once people realize what is coming I think
they will be glad to have been a part of it, and I know they will love the
end result.
Ian

Just for the records: I am Christoph Lipka and I approve this message.
(And no, I don't wear orangutan fur on my head, and haven't deleted an
e-mail in ages.)

I delete e-mails all the time, although I cannot guarantee that Yahoo! and/or
the National Security Agency don't have backups.
James Comey wouldn't be interested anyway. They're all promotions, news
digests, and monthly statements.
(And I used to have a security clearance, so I can't figure out what's been
going on with the judgment of recent secretaries of state.)
