I've had lots of work lately, a colleague got fired, others were on
vacation, double-time for me... But hey, my paycheck will look nice! ;-)

Anyways, these last few days I had some time and worked on my image a
little. I'm not so sure about adding a background mountain-scape or not,
but I'll have to experiment on that later.

I'm not so keen on the sign placement so far either, but as its a WIP, I
can still change things. ;-)

Still feel the need to come up with something resembling a path on the
grass, but one step at a time...

Regards,
Tim

That was my initial response. "There are no paths, no one has had to make
these decisions before?"

Nice.

Things are a lot easier if you just get married. Then you only need one
sign "Ask the wife"

Good idea, but wrong approach. You may think that you've had to make
similiar decisions, but you never make the same decisions. So basically,
I don't really need a path, unless you follow the idea that these paths
aren't 100% free choice, that they might be tended to by something
higher/lower. That's something I'm keeping in mind when trying to come
up with a design for the path and how to model it.

Tim

Hehe, maybe. :-) I've got a sign somewhere saying "World Domination",
and another one says "Just do it!". The latter was a suggestion from my
brother, the former from Brain (you know: "Pinky and the Brain, one is a
genius, the other insane!"). But since you can't read all 50 anyway, I
might add that one, too. :-)

My best friend. When I told her about the image and read her the list of
all the things people might want to use as basis for their decisions,
she wanted to be one too. Usually I don't add such a clear personal
touch to my images, but I felt this one fitting. She's been a real and
steady support since I've got to know her, unlike other so-called friends...

Tim

My idea - for what it's worth - is that the paths should not be clearly
defined but diffuse, irregular, some randomly more treaded than others. A
choice is always(?) towards a certain future, which itself always(?) remains
uncertain in coming about.

Make them going around in circles. And some could go over a cliff.
Depending on your desired balance between optimism and realism ;)

I'm thinking of a circular path around the direction posts. That path, by
itself, don't lead anywhere, it's just the remain of the previous ones that
passed by, and their pondering about what path to chose...
