Yet Another Empty Reflective Checkered Holy Sphere Over Double-Checkered
Plane With Photons And Radiosity.

This time in B&W. I wanted to test some technique and thought I'll share.

Thought you were mad at POV-Ray and just banged your fists at the
keyboard... ;)

Looks nice! Cool reflecting effect.

I had to try something that won't straightly say RSOCP ;).

Like it too, thou rendering took over 8 hours with Sempron 3100+ (ok, it
might have been a bit less, if I weren't playing music, compiling
software and gaming at the same time :p).

I think I'll clean up the code a bit and post it to p.b.s-f.

The way in which checkers are constantly appearing everywhere is disturbing.
An official investigation should be conducted about the (hidden) motives of
those individuals who want to make us see the world in a different aspect
from that which is the only true, comprehensive and recognized one by
governments, churches and non-governmental organizations.

Very nice image!!!

But there are no photons in your scene?
Looking at your source you are missing the object photons in the difference:
photons{ target 1.0 refraction on reflection on }.
And perhaps a interior statement with ior value to make the photons more
interesting.

Arf, true. Seems that I forgot the object-part of photons, I just
activated them from global_settings.

Alltough, the scene seems to take it gently - I still think it's
successful :D.

Now I'm just wondering would I've won hours keeping the global photons
disabled :p.

True. But playing with ior would've propably make it too glassy at first
for my goal.

Not that much, less than 5 minutes to shoot photons, sone seconds more during
the rendering itself.

And that would have taken more time: adding total internal relfection.
