Thanks for the comments on the skin, here's version 2. I think it's looking 
good enough for the IRTC entry I'm working on now.

Next step, I need a crowd of people. So this was a technical test of loading 
multiple models, to see if it killed render performance or memory usage. 
After a bit of tweaking to share materials (but not meshes since eventually 
everyone will be in a different pose) megapov's running in under 600MB out 
of the 2 gigs in my PC, and the render time was only 55 minutes, which is 
almost as fast as with only 1 guy, pov's so good with meshes :)

BTW, the shoe and belt materials haven't been touched yet, they're just what 
poseray gave me, everything else has been worked on quite a lot, though I 
think the hair needs more work.

Comments would be appreciated, particularly advice on handling such large 
scenes.

The skin is much much better! very realistic.
I am somewhat bothered, however, by the men's morphology. They appear to
have bodybuilt way too much (IMHO!), which gives them breasts (kind of). The
jackets should fall more amply across their chests anyway.

Skin is looking good on the face, but the hands look glossy & plastic.

I agree with Thomas on the physical build, unless this is a bodybuilders
convention they're overly robust.  The posing is awkward too, particularly
shoulders and the curvature of the upper arms, since a suit should lay much
flatter.  I find in Poser that using inverse kinetics is only good to move
the limbs into a basic position, but then turn it off and tweak the pose by
hand. Takes a bit longer, but really helps get a natural look.  Rotate the
shoulder slightly forward and the upper arm in towards the body to
straighten the curve.

Yeah I totally agree with you about the body builder look, unfortunately 
that just seems to be what shape these suits are that I bought from Daz. I 
had a play with all the morphs and all I could get was bulging breast/pecs 
or really fat guy breasts, nothing to actually make the shirt thinner. I 
fear I may have to figure out how to edit the meshes myself...

Kind of frustrating paying for a model and not getting something that 
handles all situations, but then it's my own fault for not doing everything 
myself!

Oh, and one more thing, I made another variation of the guy in a more 
interesting pose, with his jacket billowing so his chest is a little less 
eye catching, and with a much more interesting face. You can him here:

And after doing that render I fixed the ties, but haven't got another shot 
to show you...

Though I'm going to have to stop posting WIPs 'cause I now have the main 
element of the scene and I'd like to hang onto the wow factor for when you 
see it in the IRTC :) maybe I'll just post renders with that bit removed...

Yeah his pose is not great, take a look at my reply to thomas for much 
improved poses. Though now the identical left hand limp wrist is painfully 
obvious. I'll fix it later...
