One of my most fully-realized scenes.

It didn't take long to make because the geometry is very simple, but the
rendering time was very long. The sand is an isosurface taken from
"isocactii.pov" from the standard Windows POV-Ray install.

Any comments/suggestions/constructive criticism welcome!

VERY nice!

One thing maybe: I assume that you use a single color texture for the
pillars and walls, which I think produces those color bands, especially on
the wall. If you use a texture with a subtle mixture of colors, they will
disappear I guess...

Yes, I did use a single pigment for.. just about everything :P
Thanks for the tip! I was wondering how to get rid of the banding
