Some inspiration from the movie Snatch and a recent Transplants song. The
gold deagle appeared in Charlie's Angles 2, the black one in The Matrix, and
of course the silver and black in Snatch.

Wow, realy nice :)
I suggest to work more on floor/table, and maybe bigger field of view (to
see all guns)

Cool. All these guns are starting to scare me, though :-)

Nice image - are the diamonds real ?-)
Would photons make it look different? Could you try it?
BTW, this is a good sample of a scene where one would _really_
appreciate the possibility to be able to specify all objects having a
certain _material_ being photon targets, glass in this case... (See the
relevant discussion at p.general.) But then again, the diamonds are so
small, that the effect might be unnoticeable, at least with this
resolution.

The diamonds are real. Almost five hundred thousand dollars went into the
setting up of this scene between the diamonds and the gold plated desert
eagle. :)
I don't understand photons very well so bare with me. I put the count at 5
million and was getting some nice caustics with the larger diamond.
However, when I added in the smaller ones I lost the caustics. Is this
because those 5 million are being split up amongst the smallers ones as
well? I will try rendering it again with less of the smaller ones and raise
the count a little.

Thanks Dan. Yeah, my next project is going to be something cuter like a
mouse. :)

Raf, I had some of the guns cut off for an artistic effect actually. As for
the floor, I guess I could try adding a bit of a texture to it. However,
the simple shade is what I had in mind with this scene.

Yes, the 5 million photons is the total number of photons shot: the more
you have diamonds, the less each will "get" photons. You can get around
this by using the "spacing" keyword instead - then the number of
diamonds don't matter. Read the section 6.10.2.1 for more information on
this. You might also want to specify "collect off" for each diamond -
that might make the rendering (maybe also the parsing) faster.

Yeah, maybe a scene from the book "Who Stole My Cheese!" :-)
