Very nice modelling :)
Personally I would lose the stone. I think it destroys the picture
and the rest of the scene already says what is written on the stone.
Perhaps it looks to much like a head stone.
Some of the leafs is too bright. I'm thinking of those in the
shadows on the right side of the road.

All this IMHO ofcourse.

Like said before, very nice atmosphere. :)

IMHO the ambient on the trees and stone are not in accordance with what
we can see in the path which is very dark where unlit. This makes them,
especially the stone, quite akward.

The rest is really nicely designed though, I expect an imp to run across
the road at anytime,

JC
PS: basically beeing a french speaker, I don't understand what the quote
on the stone means ... is it a poem ?

I like the perspective! Very nice!

All that is missing is a haunted castle in the background :)

Mmm, ca signifie :

Arpente le sentier battu
Les horizons semblent etre de plus en plus etroits
Crampone toi a une croyance sans foi
Tout sera demain

Mais bon, c'est une traduction a froid, et sans dico... On doit pouvoir
faire mieux ;)

Ah oui, merci, maintenant que tu le dis ... :-)

It's a kind of compacted phylosophy of life, :-)

Very nice!

But.... I think you should change one of the fields.
Maybe you can exchange the right field with a meadow.

I'm no expert so I have no idea how good it is, but the google translation
goes like this...

progressent le chemin battu

tout sera demain

"et demain viendra" - "and tomorrow will come", I like that, but its a
different image for me.

Cheers
