Hi,
Recently I finaly had time to read the manual about lathe, and the first
results are ready to be shown to the public (which will be you).
The 3 vases which are shown are all the same lathe object, but the u (or v,
don't realy know) coordinate has been changed by a factor 0.4, 1 and 0.7.
render time: 3h 4m 53s (includes photon mapping time)
hope you enjoy,
JWV

forgot to mention: it was rendered at 1600 x 1200 aa0.3 , at a Centrino 1.3

I like it, I like it!
How did you get the glass texture? That is probably some of the most
realistic glass I've seen in quite a while. You could say I'm rather a fan
of shiny stuff in raytraced scenes. And I'd certainly like to have some
glass like that in one of my scenes. :-)

thanks!

it is very simple, just include glass.inc, and then use:
texture { T_Glass4 } interior {I_Glass caustics 1}
photons {
target
reflection on
refraction on
collect on
}
as texture for your object.
