Here is an update of my Unreal Tournament model. I've now identified all
vertices and wrote simple functions to be able to rotate them around a
specific point. So now placing them is very easy. This scene took me at
most 20 minutes to do (after I spent many hours identifying the vertices of
course).
I still have to fix a few of the vertices fine tune. I also didn't apply
the normals. It turns out I'll have to think of a cleaver way to figure out
what normal vertex applies to which mesh vertex so I can rotate them the
same way as the mesh vertices.
This is fun. Animating these is also quite easy. After I fix the normals,
I'll give it a try.
Sorry about the image size, but when I made it smaller it gets a bit harder
to see some of the detail.
Note: I hope the guy in the background isn't too blurry that you can't see
what he's doing, or should I say what happened to him. It's kind of funny.
