Okay, this is the last image for now. I can get away with posting three
images in a row without feeling guilty because I'm never here :)

This image was born out of a discussion I had with a friend about
building cisterns in the desert to help survive droughts without relying
on a public water utility. In real life it would be impractical to use
so much concrete, but this is an idealised version.

Of course, comments and questions are always welcome.

Hi Sam,

nice to see you again here.

As usual impressive images. Are all textures procedural or did you use
image maps for the concrete? Realism could of course be additionally
improved by using an area_light.

Christoph

Hello Chris, nice to hear from you again.

The textures are all procedural. Where the concrete appears to have a radial
streaking pattern I used the cylindrical warp. The ground is an average of
several patterns, stretched and facing different directions.

Really nice images. I particularly like the colours you've chosen for them, very
different to other pov images and really lending a unique style to your work. It
reminds me of the colours they use in the Matrix, with lots of secondary colours
(greens, oranges, and purples). Very effective, and moody.

Of the images themselves, good modelling, lighting, and clever use of
techniques. My only "criticism" would be they don't look realistic, but then I
don't think that was your intention and I certainly like the unreal feeling.
