Hi, I've almost finished my brick wall prototype...

I think I just need to add texturing to the bricks so that the filling
between the bricks is of different color...

Also, there is a slight bug at the corner, but I think I'll leave it
that way for a moment...

What do you think?

I just found a way to fix the problem; though I don't think it's a
specially good way, it's just perfect for this kind of brick, it might
not work properly with other kinds of brick...

You are using a heightfield?
Try a union with another heightfield for the mortar. I just did that for my
wall heightfield macro and it looks great.
Not only can I have separate textures for bricks and mortar, but by changing
the relative size of the two heightfields the tiling is much less noticable.

The edges look very wavy.

Yes, that seems easy enough! I should have it done within a few days!

Thanks,

Do you mean the shape of the bricks? Yea, the bricks are wavy, I can
make any kind of brick, but that's the one I rendered... I'll try to
make a square type of brick with slightly round edges next time...

You can even do a single hf combining several ones with more complex
math functions (max and conditional functions) to generate height field
and according color map. I'm currently also trying to generate a sort of
finish map image.

I post an image of a wall I've made for my next IRTC, I'll post the code
at the same time as my image. You can see that I have more troubles than
you with the corner. :-)

That's what I'll try to do...

Thanks,
