Very nice... (well, okay, sooo nice that I saved it on my hard disk :)).
I find it a bit butterfly-like.
Perhaps needs some colors, for a flower? Can we have a sample with more
colors?
Well, after all, maybe that's just me, so don't bother about that :))

Nice one.

What is your max_trace_level, and how long did it take to render ?

I see dark areas in the petals. Is it POV which stopped shooting rays or is it
your black background which is refracted ?

Very nice model, but I don't like the background colors much.

Also, real glass tends to exhibit variable reflection; in my own
experiments I've found that type 0 with a falloff power of 2 or so
provides a fairly realistic look (though it may not be mathematically accurate).

The highlights seem a little large in places.

I'm afraid that I don't know enough yet about colouring glass in
POV-Ray like you describe.

Thank you.

I first tried to view the shape from this angle as a non transparent
object,
but I found it a bit dull because the shape in front "blocked" for the
three
others behind.

And then I thought I'd give the marvellous T_Glass3 texture from the
glass.inc file a try.

I did give this a little thought before I went to sleep. But I was
to tired to reach a conclusion, so I just started the rendering and
thought I would make up my mind when it had finished.

> I bet the render time was loooooong...

My home machine stood alone rendering for about 3 days.

But I forgot to look for the statistics when I returned, so I
don't know the exact rendering time. :(

Yes, when you mention it; the "thing" in the middle reminds
me of a kind of tongue.

Thank you for commenting.

It's a pity that the long rendering time stops me from experimenting
much with lighting and colouring of the glass.

But if I find time (or I get a more powerful PC :) I'll try a more
asymmetric light set-up.

> And How about turning it upside down :-)

Right now I tried to flip the image vertically in an image editor and
I found that I like it that way too. =)
