Hello,

I extended my fluid simulator in order to handle different fluids with
different propreties.

In this simulation, I have 2 fluids. The pink fluid is 2 times more dense
than the transparent one. The objects are half dense than the transparent
fluid.

For the rendering, I play with radiosity (no light).

http://perso.orange.fr/fidos/multiphase.mpg : low res MPEG1 (< 1.9 Mo)
http://perso.orange.fr/fidos/multiphase_high.mpg : hi res MPEG1 (< 10 Mo)

Any comments are wellcome.

Regards,
Fidos

That is truly amazing - every time i see a new one of these I'm even more
impressed. Do you have any plans for making the fuilds mix rather than
settle? ie use some method of averaging properties?

Wow, what monster rendering time did that take?

Impressive. :-)

Sorry,

I found most of your liquid animations quite impressive - though I probably
never said so.
BUT this one only yields an error page:

Have a nice week

Chances are that the bandwidth allowance have been exeeded.

Thank you for your positive reply. For the moment, the fluid can't mix. I
think that the use of particules in order to make the mix between different
fluid is necessary. It is something that I would like to acheive.

The rendering time was below 48 hours for 256 frames. I used 2 passes : one
for the saving of the radiosity infos at low resolution and one for the
final rendering with aa on.

Thank you for your reply.

The files are available again.

What hardware are you rendering on?

You know you've been raytracing too long when you hate games, but you
buy Riven just to look at the pictures.
