Version 3.5.beta.11.icl.win32

I can't seem to turn off the "Show White Space" option in the Text menu.
Well, I can turn it off, but when I close POV-Ray and open it again, it's
turned on again.

I don't know what happened to start this behavior. I may have had the option
turned on at the time when I installed beta 11 if that makes a difference.

Nobody can confirm this problem, right? :(

Phew...

How did you trigger it? Simply turned it on?

Oh...
Sorry, I haven't read your bug report carefully enough.
I saw that the option is deactivated when restarting POV-Ray, but this
wasn't the bug you posted.
But I think nevertheless it's a bug because the status of the "Show White
Space" option isn't saved.

There does appear to be a bug here, though for the reasons you state, rather
than the original post.

This still doesn't explain why the option keeps being turned on for me,
while it keeps being turned off for Felix. That's why I said it might be
related to the fact that I had it turned on when I installed beta 11.

Of course, this doesn't matter as long as the bug is fixed.

This all sounds similar to the font in the POV Editor but I reported a
few threads up, I'll make a more datiled roport in that thread later
because I've done some extensive investigation.
