Hi,

I do'nt know if somebody has still asked this:
Is it possible in a future relase, for the ambient and rgb colors, to get
values over 1.0; Pov-ray can calculate values till 100!
So, when using radiosity, we could have better results with the sky texture
using such an ambient value.

friendly

If it's possible to create negative values for all the normals:
A bump or a hole.. etc
Great

  I didn't know there's such a limit in POV-Ray.

I've used arbitrarily high vales with Moray...1000000
IIRC, trying to fake HDRI. Direct code, don't leave
home without it. (Direct code texture in Moray, that
is...)

Ok, direct code exists.
But I do'nt see then the interest to have a material editor with the limits
of 1 !!!!
The best would be that moray should correspond exactly to the povray values
in all the cases that it happens.
Most probably the moray develpers team had choosen to put limits for
pedaggogic target, and so the beginners should have no problems with
inexplicable rendering....

moray. Perhaps, an indication of average value in the material editor would
be desirable for those beginners...

This is an interesting aspect. If you have used Wings3D, you may know that
there is something called 'Advanced Menus' (if I remember the wording well).
If you enable that, all kind of extra options are available. For the
beginner, starting without the AM is a lot easier; for the expert, the AM is
a must.
I suggest that in a future version, something like this would be included
(if possible!). Remy's request could then be part of Moray's Advanced
Menus.

The idea of advanced menu is very nice
I support
