Run two copies of POV. Set the INI options to a 2 frame animation with
field interlacing on. Give one copy of POV the first frame and the
other -- the second one. Then deinterleave the result (can do it in
POV with a modification of the TV interlace macro :) )

Or, as Ken pointed out, pay a visit to the VFAQ.
