Here are a couple of keystrokes that I use very frequently.  If you place your cursor
in the text and hist CTRL + SHIFT + END, it will select everything from the cursor to
the end of the document.
CTRL + SHIFT + HOME will select everything to the beginning of the document.  You can
then continue to hold SHIFT and use your arrow keys to narrow down the selection, if
you need to.
