Hey, hi all.
For those entering the 'Pseudo IRTC' topic of 'TINA CHeP' ~ 'This Is Not A
CHequered Plane' competition, please send your submission to:
-------------------------------
mr_gold at tiscali.co.uk
-------------------------------
If you can send your files* in a zipped format, this would be appreciated.
* Files to be included are:
.. One 'FINAL' image at a maximum size of 250Kb's in any common graphic
format
that you prefer.
(Final image is to be submitted no later that 28th February, although, if
I wake up and find a few extra's, they will be included too - taking into
account time differences, I will allow a full 24 hours UK time, but no more
after that.)
.. One text file basically explaining how you made and rendered the image.
(If it's possible to use the present IRTC text file, then I think this
will be good, but please someone, let me know about this. This subject is
open for discussion in this thread for the time being.)
Finally, please understand that *I* respect all copyright laws globally,
and I'm not going to produce a thousand T's for the Summer holidays. So,
your image is safe with me.
Ok guys and girls, submit away, and more to the point, ENJOY YOURSELVES!
:o)
I think more than anything, this is the *true* spirit of the IRTC.
If I've missed anything out, please let me know.
Good luck all, I'm certainly looking forward to seeing the results! :o)
Regards,
~Steve~

Would it be a good idea to mention this on the IRTC mailing list?
http://irtc.org/mailman/listinfo/irtc-l
Something saying "while we're waiting..... " (and possibly pointing them
here). Or would it be considered wrong advertising a different
competition using the IRTC mailing list? (even though this isn't meant
to be a rival just an interim measure until we the IRTC is sorted)
I'll leave it up to you as you're hosting.

But, I should also mention (as Markus Altendorff did in p.b.anim's) that
if you want, just post or mail a link if you're hosting your image already
on your own webspace, I'll come and grab the appropriate files. All I want
to do is collate all the images in one place for viewing ~ hopefully in the
same vein as the IRTC.

No, I don't think so, I'll post something there soon.

Thanks to you Steve for giving some of your web space! As this 'competition'
is without ranking, just viewing and commenting, we will need some kind of
forum where we can see/comment the entries, and exchange opinions and tips.
How do you see things (maybe it is a naive question, maybe I missed
something ...). I understood you'll collect the entries (I don't think we
can say 'submissions'), and how will we see them and discuss?
I have another related and naive question: why not use the irtc.stills forum
to host it? After all, its not really a competition, and we only need an
open space where to show our work and discuss. Therefore the normal usage
of irtc.still forum could be OK (for example in a specific thread, created
short before feb 28th)?
Bruno

Verm, I've just done that, it should be in the list members mailboxes
soon. At least, I hope so.

Well, thanks Bruno. I've set up a free forum which I'm trying to get
used to at the moment, so I won't post the URL yet. This forum will be for
the discussion of the present Pseudo IRTC Stills topic of 'TINA CHeP'. I'll
post the forum URL as soon as I can. (Read: When I've learnt how to do it!)

Yes, I 'do' know what you're saying about the irtc.stills forum. But do
you not think that it would be 'messy' trailing up and down the threads to
comment on them? Especially in the webview of the pov groups?

OK, steve, got it, no prob!!
I would have liked to avoid you some extra work if you intend to enter the
pseudo-round. I thought that for our 'simple' purpose, a specific
irtc.stills thread would have been enough and not too much 'messy' as you
said. But thank you again to make it in your space and more convienient for
us!
Well its 2 in the morn', and I ('ll try to) work tomorrow.
Bruno.

Ok, so how shall I work this? I mean, as I receive the files*, do we
want to view them immediately, as they come in? Or shall I wait like the
IRTC does?
Consequently, as I've nearly finished my entry**, if we go with the
first idea, then I'll open the website with my image for you all to gawp at.
;)
*This is, if indeed, there are any entrants. I would hope that there's
going to be more than ten. <whistles in the air>
**Give it a couple of days or so, and I think I'll crack it.

Well hey, I know that Bruno. Thanks. It's just that I like doing what I'm
doing at the moment - it's keeping me busy.

Hope you did, but hope you also got some rest too!
