This one's a photo - the guy isn't trying to hide it; I assume he just
didn't read the rules properly.
TITLE: Bursting Sky
NAME: Maaike Roseboom
JPGFILE: mr_sky.jpg
IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
This picture may not fit the description of wilderness, but I think the sky
is
still the wildest part of our earth. It changes, and at times it lets us
humans
feel how small we actually are. This picture was taken right before an
enormous
storm was to break out above Byron Bay, Australia.

In defense of Mr. Roseboom: You know, I was thinking about something as I
re-read the compitition rules. If a person just did not know what raytracing
was, there is very little in the text that would let them know or give them
a good idea. Judging from the interaction I have with customers where I
work, when it comes to anything technical ( i.e. what raytracing and 3d
modeling are) most people need it spelled out for them.
IMHO I think that it is possible that the text on the IRTC site may make too
much of an assumption regarding the prospective contestant's knowledge of 3d
graphics.
Just my own opinion though and I think that the concensus of the admin team
should prevail.

Apparently the text on the IRTC site also makes too much of an assumption that
prospective contestants understand the meaning and usage of the word "Topic", as
is can again be inferred by browsing the current entries.
Perhaps the competition should have the same topic for every round.... called
"Whatever"
