Perhaps a nice java app with the current ATMOIC time on the comp page
would help. :)
And yes, it's not "greenwich meantime" anymore, it's "universal time".
For some reason, probably politically correct.

It gets even worse in Australia. For some reason all of the states except
Queensland (which I live in) are on daylight saving. Try to ring Melbourne
in the afternoon, damn, one hour too late!!!

The East Coast US is 5 hours behind London not Greenwich. The
west coasit 3 hours behind hte east coast.
But as the IRTC team folk said, I wake up, see who has submitted
and try to fit them in even if they are late or words to that
effect.
As to France, that is up to you to find out but it should not be
more than 6 hours difference. Israel is 7, take your pick.

Well, firstly, we don't have a country big enough to have more than one
time zone, so London time _is_ GMT for about half the year, but then, for
the rest of the year, we all (the whole country, not just London) go over to
BST (British summer time).
And, to answer Estelle's question - According to Win98, Pacific Time is
GMT-8hrs.

We've been over this before, I think. Pacific STANDARD Time is GMT-8.
The west coast is currently observing Pacific DAYLIGHT Time, which is GMT-7.
For the current time in any US time zone (with the exception of the places
that do not observe daylight savings time) go to

So it's BST-8 then ! (BST = British summer time = GMT+1)
(he said just to throw a web of confusion over the matter) ;-)

Almost, but y'all change to/from BST on different dates than the western
US changes to/from PDT. Just to keep it interesting, you understand.

Surely when running an internet based competition it's best to go
by GMT anyway.
