Welcome abroad.

You have probably noticed the lack of a povray.feature-request group
-- it's not unintentional :) Here's what I suggest.

povray.general - for your feature request
povray.off-topic - if it's not related to POV but is rather general
(eg: "Why is raytracing so slow?")
povray.programming - if you want to discuss the POV-Ray source code
itself

It's generally not a good idea to have such things built-in. It's much
better to have them as an external utility or an include file. This
way you get all the versatility of your tree generator without paying
the price of fixing its feature set to a specific version / compile of
POV.

That said, povray.binaries.utilities is not a bad place to post your
tree generator (as an attachment) and have the thread regarding it in
povray.general . This is general practice on this server to post
binaries in one of the indicated binaries group and have the
discussion in the designated text group.

Please take a look at povray.announce.frequently-asked-questions ,
there are about 20 messages from the administration of this server and
the POV-Team which are official statements and general guidelines for
new visitors of this server.

Once again, welcome abroad and have fun.
