I know how you feel...I barely passed Grammar II this year, and may have
to take the second semester again next year. My other subjects, while
not straight A's, were much better. I'm not dyslexic, I just can't
identify sentence parts. It's like I categorize words differently from
the person who wrote the grammar book(which seems to be written by
someone obsessed with finding the most complex way in which to explain
things). Many of the constructions of English seem clumsy and unnatural
to me, though because it is the only language I know, I can't compare
with others.
Not surprisingly, when I took the SAT(an ability test), language came
out behind everything else.
And if you think the British system is bad, look at some of the stuff
some Americans write. And most of them don't even care that people can
barely understand them.(If I make a spelling mistake, please point it
out. If I make a grammar mistake, also point it out, but I will probably
forget it 5 minutes after I read it.)
