That's what I do, or you can try (if the 'min' function works for
isisurfaces)
min (1, sqrt( y*y + (sqrt(x*x+z*z)-1)*(sqrt(x*x+z*z)-1) ))
John sent mi this function per my request for a toroidal 'wood'
pattern, so it's not clipped like the cylindrical or spherical
patterns are. The change applied above should make it a unity toroidal
pattern clipped to 1.
