This is a question that a newbie is unlikely to ask so skip .newusers.
.general is a good idea but then again, the odds of getting a good
answer increase as you go towards .a-u . Once you get to coding the
stuff, go to .programming and post any diffs in .b.p. Once the patch
is out, announce it (and support it) in u.p.

My point is, a new group isn't needed for such stuff :)
