I think you should stick with your "dreamed" Afghanistan, using
"reality" (and real scenes/objects) only as a template. You did not
expect the real "swampy bog"? So, just ignore it and create your lawn in
place of it. I believe Khyberspace is about that, and not about the
dirty reality. However, just my two cents of course. :-)
