i try to honor developers wording when adding to docs ... perhaps 
spindle wouldn't have been /my/ choice but after looking the term up 
(for additional clarification) i decided it was safe.

base (beginning or bottom) spindle (middle or axis) cap (end or top) is 
the way i rationalized the passage. additionally there are also two more 
clues in the lemon object description that mention cylinder. that is ... 
in the beginning passage and the very end (see also cone) ... unless 
there is ton of confusion i'm leaning towards leaving it as is
