I'll re-iterate:
"As a matter of fact, POV-Ray /never/ actually "thinks" of the real
camera geometry in the first place, since the geometry is only specified
indirectly. [...]"
Both the virtual aperture center and the pinhole are placed at the
nominal camera location, as per the camera block.
