To approach this, I suggest to use a layered texture: one of the stone
textures as basic layer, then a semi-transparant one over it to suggest
the wear fade. The wear at the angles is more difficult but can be
approached with the use of a proximity pattern. Over the years, several
have been developed by - especially - Sam Benge and Edouard Poor, in
2009. You should be able to find the threads in p.b.i. in particular.
