Like posfan12 I have been working for a while now on an imaginary city,
partly inspired by the stories of Lord Dunsany, partly by the Lankhmar
of Frank Herbert. Gancaloon is the site of my Iskander images which have
started to appear here and on the TC-RTC site since 2006/2007.
Eavesdropping was the very first one.

A few landmarks are in place: the city wall and gates, the Old Palace on
the right; the temple/market (red box) location of Eavesdropping and
site of the Sea Harbour; the temple zone in the center; the Rver Harbour
to the left. The Yann flows at left towards the sea in the background.
The other side of the river is not yet implemented.

The landscape is a height_field function, first drawn in GIMP (height
levels), then processed in GeoControl, and exported as a tga file. Each
square represents 50 m. All "finished" objects are built in Silo and
exported through Poseray as mesh2 objects. Axes through the origin are
added for more easy location.

Thomas
